Getting fossil Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a little different when compared to catching Pokémon in Wild Zones or around the city. Rather than catching them, like the other Pokémon that make up the Pokédex, you’ll need to collect their fossils and bring them to a specific location. It’s not extremely clear how to get the fossil Pokémon, but luckily there is a side mission that will direct you to Tyrunt, Amaura, and Aerodactyl.
