Hogwarts Legacy Is Hiding a Deathly Hallows Reference You’ll Definitely Miss

Turns out, a very well-hidden Deathly Hallows secret has been buried somewhere deep in Hogwarts Legacy this entire time– and no, before you ask, I’m not on about the obvious Deathly Hallows secret we all already know about.

If you’re not a Harry Potter fan, it’s hard to put into words exactly how great a game Hogwarts Legacy is. For instance, I’m not a Harry Potter fan, so I have no idea how to end this paragraph.

However, even I know that this game is absolutely stuffed full of secrets and lore. I may not understand half of it, but I know it’s there… taunting me…

For example, one of the most beloved quests in the game, Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial, revolves around all three elements of the Deathly Hallows. You’re granted a fancy cape that turns you invisible, a shiny rock (which assumedly is the Philosopher’s Stone), and a one-hit kill wand; three elements that, when combined, make up the Deathly Hallows.

Although I’m pretty ignorant of most of the lore, even I knew what the game was getting at with this specific quest. Combining all three turns you into the “Master of Death”, which sounds like a very on the nose name for a heavy metal band.

Also, I remember the quest itself very well, because the black and white aesthetic was super cool (and I also liked the bit where the spooky scary skeleton pops up).

Of course, that’s not the Deathly Hallows reference in Hogwarts Legacy I’m referring to. Would hardly be a “hidden” reference if the focus of a main story mission, would it?

Nope, I’m referring to this post over on the r/HogwartsLegacyGaming subreddit, which seemingly shows off the Deathly Hallows crest, embedded in Hogwarts’ stonework.

So, which part of Hogwarts is this little reference buried in? I have absolutely zero idea.

Before you shout at me, that’s not just me trying to be useless. I spent a solid half an hour trying to find any kind of reference online to this little easter egg, and I came up completely empty. If you want to find it for yourself, you’re going to have to ask the person who made that post (or spend hours looking around for it yourself).

It is the Deathly Hallows logo, right? The devs didn’t just throw that in there by accident because they had the asset lying around or something?
