Halo: Campaign Evolved Is a Pretty Remake Coming to PS5, but Not an Exact One

We played an early-in-development chunk of the classic Silent Cartographer mission in Halo: Campaign Evolved, the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 remake of Halo: Combat Evolved that’s due out in 2026 for Xbox, PC, and yes, PlayStation 5. It’s not quite a 1:1 remake though, so IGN’s veteran of every Halo battle, Ryan McCaffrey, is here to give you his first impressions and tell you about what’s new and what’s been changed.
