Rockstar Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment have published a joint blog stating that PS5 will be the âbestâ place to play Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). While the companies have yet to reveal PS5 Pro features, weâve been told that the game will take advantage of PS5 exclusive technology for a âdeeply engaging single-player experience.â

A breakdown of GTA 6âs PS5 features is as follows, courtesy of PS Blog:
- DualSense controller: Responsive vibrations via haptic feedback and dynamic resistance via adaptive triggers. âThe controllerâs integrated speaker also adds another dimension to key moments and interactions, with sound effects from the controller enhanced by haptic feedback,â the blog reads.
- Tempest 3D AudioTech: Offers âhighly accurate audio positioningâ that helps player perception. The tech will also be used to highlight distinct soundscapes.
- PS5 SSD: PS5 players can expect near-instant loading times throughout the massive world of Leonida.
Thanks to Sonyâs partnership with Rockstar, PS5 players will also get a free month of GTA+ subscription with all preorders. The subscription can be redeemed instantly.
GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026, for $80. Preorders will go live at midnight tonight (local time).
