A promising new PS5 game has been announced for 2026 that Resident Evil fans might want to keep an eye on. Indie studio Unclear Games has released a 4K trailer for its upcoming game The Florist, which is inspired by classic survival horror games. And it looks fantastic so far!
Fans compare upcoming PS5 game The Florist to classic Resident Evil
Going by the reactions to The Florist’s announcement, we’re not the only ones getting classic Resident Evil vibes. The game will feature a fixed camera angle, multiple difficulty and accessibility options, and checkpoints with autosaves.
The Florist’s protagonist is Jessica Park, who makes a last-minute delivery at the lakeside town of Joycliffe, only to end up being embroiled in a strange disaster.
“Her timing sparks disaster as the town quickly descends into a deadly game of survival against omnipresent floral overgrowth,” reads an official overview. “Players must solve ingenious puzzles, defeat horrifying enemies, and uncover a mysterious plan to create new life in the most inhuman way imaginable.”
While The Florist isn’t an open world game, players can explore Joycliffe and discover its hidden secrets.
“Joycliffe is not a dark abandoned town after years of neglect,” says Unclear Games. “The danger here is fresh, with color and light being used as primary gameplay and artistic devices to create tension and unsettling ambience in a style never seen before.”
The Florist is certainly on our radar, and we hope it comes with DualSense features.
We’ll update our readers when a release date is announced.
