While the reveal of God of War Laufey has clearly divided players, we were also surprised that no release date or even a launch window was announced. With 20 minutes of gameplay shown, however, the game appears to be relatively far along in development.
According to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, this lack of release information is not cause for concern. In fact, he stated on the social network Bluesky that, unlike other major announcements, the release of God of War Laufey won’t be several years away.
Thus, we can’t rule out it coming out on PS5 as early as 2027.
