Ghost Of Tsushima Drops Unexpected Free DLC

Ghost Of Tsushima Drops Unexpected Free DLC

Ghost of Tsushima has dropped a new free DLC announcement that will no doubt please fans of the series who like to play on the go.

Originally released on the PlayStation 4 in 2020, Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favourite games of its generation. Jin Sakai, a young samurai warrior raised in nobility, is forced to question his moral code to save those he loves.

Ghost of Tsushima would later arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC with improved visuals, performance and new features. Not to mention receiving a fantastic expansion with Iki Island.

Later in 2020, the free multiplayer game called “Legends” was added to Ghost of Tsushima as a content update. ‘Legends’ is essentially a co-op wave-based game, set in a nightmarish version of the game’s map that rewards players with awesome outfits that can also be used in the main game.

In ‘Legends’, it has four character classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin. Players could not only acquire new outfits, but also new weapons, all of which can be levelled up to 120. In September 2021, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was made available as a standalone purchase, and fans of it might be pleased to know that a new iteration is coming to Ghost of YĹŤtei.

“Ghost of Yōtei is pure cinematic brilliance, and Sucker Punch Productions deserves to be commended once more for knocking it out of the park and, in some ways, topping its predecessor,” I said in my review. “Ghost of Yōtei is one of the absolute best games of 2025.”

As brought to our attention by Twitter user Wario64, the popular Sucker Punch Productions title recently became Steam Deck verified. What’s more, it’s free DLC; ‘Legends’ is also playable on the system and available as a separate download without requiring the base game. It should be noted that Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is only free if you own the base game; otherwise, it will cost money.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was locked in some regions

“Wow. This update made the game available to those countries previously unavailable,” replied Geenaxion, bringing to our attention another bonus of the recent free update. “It was previously locked.”

“I didn’t even know this game had multiplayer,” said mrmakkymakk.

“Now, enable cross-save transfers with the PlayStation versions of the game,” requested Brandorulz.

“Finally arrived, took them long enough,” exclaimed Lezuite.

Ghost of YĹŤtei is currently exclusive to PlayStation 5, and its new iteration of ‘Legends’ does not have a release date just yet. We’ll let you know when its release date drops.
