Every few weeks, Genshin Impacthas a new set of banners available, offering players the chance to pull new characters they don’t already have, level up ones they do, or add brand new faces to their team that have just been introduced. The banner system works the same as many gacha games, requiring wishes, known as Intertwined Fates (on the event banners) and Acquaint Fates (on the Standard Banner), to pull for characters and weapons. The wish mechanic is central to the game, and which banners are currently active will influence the game for that period of time.
