FromSoftware has been working on The Duskbloods since at least 2019

Announced last April during the Switch 2 presentation, The Duskbloods is FromSoftware’s next big production. It will be a PvPvE title that will obviously incorporate elements from Souls games.

According to a Chinese journalist, The Duskbloods was approved by the Japanese studio’s executives even before the marketing campaign for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice began. We can therefore assume that the project has been in development since 2019, if not earlier.

According to the same source, the Switch 2 exclusive has undergone a long prototyping phase. So much so that The Duskbloods is said to be one of FromSoftware’s most innovative games in terms of gameplay.

The game is expected in 2026.
