The company is giving players who missed out on the Open Network Test a chance to check out the game with a single-player demo. While the contents of the demo are still unknown, players can mark their calendars as its release date has been revealed.
When can you play the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds PS5 demo?
Sega announced that the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds demo will be available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, September 17. Here are the specific times players will be able to download the demo from their preferred platform:
- United States (PST) Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9:00 PM
- United States (EST) Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 12:00 AM
- United Kingdom (BST) Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 5:00 AM (06:00 AM CEST)
- Japan (JST) Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 1:00 PM
It should be noted that the demo is not available for PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version also does not have a specific release date.
The Standard Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which costs $69.99, is available to preorder right now. The Digital Deluxe Edition, which costs $89.99, includes the base game, Sonic Prime Character Pack, and Season Pass. Preordering either edition will give players the Werehog playable character, Werehog vehicle “Beast Spike”, and the Werehog Decal.
The Season Pass for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds features several collaboration racers. This includes characters from Minecraft, Pac-Man, and SpongeBob Squarepants. Sega also announced characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Avatar: The Last Airbender will also be featured in the Season Pass, but have not yet revealed specifics on what that will include.
