Forza Horizon 6 Review Embargo Set for May 14th, 5 AM PST

As youโ€™re probably aware by now, Playground Gamesโ€™ Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold. With a launch in just under two weeks, we can confirm that our review will go live on May 14th at 5 AM PST.

Of course, Premium Edition owners (or those who buy the Premium Upgrade on Game Pass) can start playing on May 15th. Regardless, that should provide enough time to know whether the seriesโ€™ first-ever stint in Japan is worth it. Based on various hands-on impressions and everything that Playground Games has showcased, however, it may end up being the very best yet.

Unlike previous games, Forza Horizon 6 has you visiting Japan as a tourist. Together with their friends Jordy and Mei, they quickly jump into the Horizon Festival scene, and can race through the ranks, earning Wristbands and eventually becoming a Horizon Legend. Alternatively, they can choose to explore Japan, curating a Collection Journal with various memories, defogging the map, and discovering the countryโ€™s natural beauty.

Whichever way you go, itโ€™s clear that Forza Horizon 6 is one of the biggest games of the year, if not in the entire series โ€“ at least, judging by the map size alone. Itโ€™s available worldwide on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the PS5 version set for later this year.
