Fortnite Confirms Battle Bus Return Date, No More Surfing

Fortnite Confirms Battle Bus Return Date, No More Surfing

It’s been confirmed that the Fortnite Battle Bus is returning soon, so there’ll be no more surfing in the coming days.

Without question, Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the planet, with its legion of fans looking forward to what each new chapter brings. The massive Epic Games shooter is also the blueprint of how free–to-play games should be modelled.

The success of Fortnite is somewhat surprising, given that it had initially begun as a multiplayer tower defence game, and its battle royale offering was added post-launch as an additional mode. The rest is history, as they say.

Today, Fortnite is a billion-dollar franchise not only because of its battle royale game but also its countless merchandise. At this point, I’m very surprised that there’s no Fortnite movie, but I’m sure that will come one day.

Fortnite’s most recent chapter is Chapter Seven, and it launched with an explorable Springfield, the home of the legendary animated sitcom, The Simpsons. It even has a lost chapter from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1, which is getting re-released in cinemas this month.

However, to the surprise of fans, Chapter Seven of Fortnite removed the Battle Bus. In case you didn’t know, the Battle Bus is the in-game vehicle that takes players above the Fortnite map before the start of each game, allowing them to jump and glide to the location of their choice.

Fans Miss The Fortnite Bus

Instead, in Chapter Seven, Fortnite players surf a tsunami into the map, which garnered somewhat of a mixed reception from fans. The surfing also made it more difficult to reach some of the best locations, with most players landing somewhere on the outskirts of the map, rather than the middle.

That being said, there is a handy trick. If you continue to ride the tsunami and do not rush into the map, if you get near the top of the tsunami wave as it approaches the island, you will get a big boost, allowing you to glide even further.

But still, we want the Battle Bus back!

Thankfully, as reported by Comicbook.com, the Battle Bus is returning to Fortnite this week on Thursday, 4 December.

The tsunami was never going to be a permanent feature.

Fortnite is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and mobile devices.

Season one of Chapter Seven is expected to end on 4 March 2026.

As for the uncut version of Kill Bill: Vol. 1, namely, The Whole Bloody Affair, it will be released in cinemas this week on Friday, 5 December.
