This week, Epic Games announced a new companion system for Fortnite. These AI-controlled partners are called « Mascots. » Players will be able to own several of them thanks to Battle Passes or by purchasing them in the store.
Insider Shiina revealed on X the prices that will be applied to these « Mascots. » They will sell for between 1,200 and 1,500 V-Bucks. This means that players will have to spend at least $ 17.98 to buy two packs of 1,000 V-Bucks in order to purchase a companion.
This price hasn’t been met with much approval, nor has the policy on customizing « Mascots, » as some modifications will be permanent.
