A long-forgotten, but fantastic, PS4 exclusive game has received a rare mention in a place and from a person we least expected. PlayStation fans will remember adventure game Concrete Genie, developed by now-defunct Pixelopus. The beloved game got a surprise shoutout from none other than Fallout TV show actress Ella Purnell.

We don’t usually highlight celebrity shoutouts here on PlayStation LifeStyle. But this one personally stuck out for me because I loved Concrete Genie, and it’s highly unusual for the game to be mentioned within the PlayStation community, let alone outside.
In a recent interview with German outlet 4P – Das Spielemagazin, as highlighted by Culture Crave on X, Purnell was asked if she planned to play the highly anticipated GTA 6. In response, she said that although she might “give it a go,” she prefers relaxing games rather than intense games.
“I’ve been playing Concrete Genie, which I’m really enjoying,” Purnell added. She then goes on to describe some of the gameplay, and called it a “lovely” game. “It’s a nice way to relax on a Sunday morning,” Purnell concluded.
I’ve always wished for a sequel to Concrete Genie, but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’ll ever happen.
