Forget Goat Sim, Capybara Simulator Takes Over As Perfect ‘Nothing’ Game

Hey everyone, look at this sweet little capybara. Isn’t it cute?

Ever since Dynamic Games revealed Capybara Simulator, I’ve been in love. I already love capybaras, and would say they’re among one of my favourite wild animals, and this game is something that has already shot up to the top of my wishlist.

The premise of Capybara Simulator is simple: You’re a capybara, you’re in the jungle, there are other capybaras around.

And not only capybaras. Okay, you’ve sold me on that.

It’s clearly taking a page out of Goat Simulator’s book, offering bizarre sandbox gameplay while also playing as a random animal that tiptoes between something cute and something humorous.

As Dynamic Games puts it, the game offers “relaxing and meditative gameplay”, where you can simply stand there and soak in the beauty of the world around you.

The description teases that you can “also do all the things capybaras usually do”, which, again, is mostly doing nothing.

I Already Want To Play A Lot Of Capybara Simulator, Give It To Me

Still, what are video games if not for the raw escapism you can get from the busy hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. They’re about living out a fantasy you can’t get in the real world.

That’s why one of my biggest video game fantasies is living a peaceful life, free of any obligations from the real world, with the ability to truly just sit around and do nothing.

That’s why Capybara Simulator may be something to pop on the ol’ wishlist. I love this little lad and want to protect him from the world.

Dynamic Games is no stranger to this type of game, having released similar titles like Watermelon Simulator, Coconut Simulator, and Palm Tree Simulator.

As each of these titles only offer a small amount of gameplay, I wouldn’t go in expecting too much to do.

However, they’re usually only sold for around 89p, so it’s a good way to kill 15 minutes.

Capybara Simulator will be available on Steam in the near future.
