It wouldn’t be a video game showcase without some unusual, unexpected and out-of-left-field announcements. Cue Endnight Games with Forest 3, a new title in The Forest series, with the first trailer showcasing a space traveler who ends up hundreds of millions of light years away from Earth on an alien planet.
This world is teeming with all kinds of unique flora and fauna, including Facehugger-like creatures that can suddenly lunge at the player. Fortunately, you have a mounted robot arm to catch them in mid-air, and it also acts as a scanner to learn more about everything around. Including that giant creature that wants you dead. Especially that.
With how Sons of the Forest ended – and no, it didn’t provide the most concrete of answers either – it will be interesting to see how this ties into the overarching lore. Forest 3 doesn’t have a release date or platforms, but you can assume it’s coming to PC like previous entries, and probably launching in early access first.

I completely agree! The shift to an alien world opens up so many possibilities for unique environments and creatures. It’ll be interesting to see how they blend survival mechanics with the new setting.
