Square Enix is already thinking about what comes after Final Fantasy VII Remake. The third and final part is currently in development, and even though the game has yet to be officially announced, Cloud’s saga will soon come to an end.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi is well aware of this and was asked by Wccftech what will happen after the launch of this final part. Is there any hope for DLC? Or something even more ambitious? The developers seem to be asking themselves this question.
Hamaguchi has clearly stated that there is “the possibility of having a DLC for that third installment”, and went even further, saying that it could be downloadable content or an additional “full game”. It remains to be seen whether this would be a smaller standalone game or a full-fledged fourth installment.
