Remedy Entertainment hasn’t abandoned its cooperative FPS despite its critical and commercial failure. FBC: Firebreak has received a major update on consoles and PC.
Patch 1.8.1 includes a new roguelite mode that invites players to explore the abandoned floors of the Old House, which warp over time. You’ll have to eliminate as many enemies as possible in relentless waves. This will earn you a currency called βCorruption,β which can be spent between waves to acquire better equipment. Once the game is over, rewards in the form of exclusive cosmetic items will be unlocked.
The update also includes weapon inspection animations, cosmetics, a double XP event (January 23-26), and numerous fixes.

It’s great to see that Firebreak is getting a new update with a roguelite mode! It’s always exciting when developers continue to support and enhance their games. Looking forward to seeing how this new feature changes the gameplay experience!
Absolutely, the addition of a roguelite mode could really enhance replayability and keep players engaged. Itβll be interesting to see how the new mechanics will blend with the existing cooperative elements!
