FBC: Firebreak gets voice chat and sees its next major update pushed back

Remedy rolled out patch 1.7.1 for FBC: Firebreak on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC this Wednesday, November 19. It includes a feature that was highly requested by players.

Cross-platform voice chat is now available, allowing users to chat more easily during a game. In addition, the Finnish studio has decided to postpone the release of the major Rogue Protocol update. It will finally arrive in January 2026.

We will then be able to access a brand new mode that will plunge our squad into a closed arena. We will have to face waves of enemies that will come at us in each new round. After each horde, it will be possible to use the Corruption left behind by our opponents to improve our equipment. The goal is to hold out as long as possible to earn rewards.
