A fan favorite PS4 game is going to be delisted this weekend. On its 10-year anniversary, the Harmonix-developed rhythm game Rock Band 4 will not be purchasable on the PS Store. This also includes its DLC songs, which include literally thousands of music tracks.

Rock Band 4 and its DLCs are being delisted

PS4 players can expect Rock Band 4 to be delisted from the PS Store by October 5. As announced on its Discord server, Harmonix confirms that players who already own the game we’ll still be able to download the game for any compatible device. This also applies to its DLC, as any purchased song will remain in the player’s library. However, DLC will be delisted as they hit their 10-year mark.

“On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Rock Band 4 turns 10. What a ride it’s been,” says Harmonix’s statement. “With this milestone comes one big change: the original licenses for the core soundtrack are expiring. Because of that, Rock Band 4 will be removed from the PlayStation and Xbox digital stores. If you already own the game, nothing changes — you’ll keep full access and still be able to download the game and songs to any new, compatible devices. The same applies to Downloadable Content (DLC): songs will come down as they hit the 10-year mark, but anything you’ve purchased will remain in your library.

“We’re so grateful for the passion this community has shown,” continues the statement. “From the team, it’s been a special experience to serve you with Rivals challenges, a super deep DLC library and a best in class band sim. If you’ve been meaning to grab a few last songs, now’s the time.”

Rock Band 4 was originally released for the PS4 on October 6, 2015. A year later, Harmonix released its Rivals expansion, which included the Rivals and Rockudrama modes.

Although Rock Band 4 might be delisted, Harmonix is still working within the rhythm genre thanks to Fortnite Festival, which can be played with compatible plastic instruments.
