A Fallout 4 player unearths an easter egg that most of us probably missed after all these years.
Without question, the Fallout series is one of the most popular properties from the studio that brought us The Elder Scrolls franchise, namely, Bethesda.
Granted, the Fallout series never began with Bethesda; that happened with the release of Fallout 3 in 2008, which many would consider to be the best entry in the entire franchise.
Others may say that 2015’s Fallout 4 is the best, but both have a fair claim to the throne in my opinion. That being said, as already stated, the topic of this story is all about the adventures taking place in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
“As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home,” reads the synopsis of Fallout 4.
With a map as large as the one featured in Fallout 4, it would make sense that there are players still making discoveries, especially with a new legion of fans being introduced to the series following the success of the live-action show from Amazon.
One such discovery was made by Reddit user TheGamerAtticus. “Just noticed these weird faces inside a Vault-Tec lunchbox in Fallout 4,” they shared. “Is this some sort of easter egg?”
To no surprise whatsoever, fellow Fallout fans on the thread were keen to reveal all the important information on the mystery scribble faces.
“On the Fallout fandom wiki, it says they are a drawing of developer Mark Teare’s children, Simon and Ziggy, that his wife drew,” replied orangelion17726.
“That’s such a good easter egg, and really nice art too,” said elf_defense.
“Now I’ll go looking for them,” declared Dramatic-Chemistry91.
Hopefully, the adventures that still await us in this beloved post-apocalyptic series should keep us busy until Fallout 5 eventually graces us with its presence, which hasn’t been officially announced yet.
It’s anyone’s guess as to when Fallout 5 will be released, but it will be safe to assume that it will arrive after The Elder Scrolls VI. Oh, that too has no release date despite being announced in 2018. Seriously, Bethesda, what gives?
