Fable could be delayed because of GTA VI

Last January, Playground Games confirmed that Fable would be released in the fall of 2026. That time of year is shaping up to be quite busy, with the release of GTA VI on November 19.

In fact, the Rockstar Games title could lead to the postponement of Microsoft’s RPG. That’s according to journalist and insider Jeff Grubb. He claims that Fable has already been pushed back internally. The American developer is reportedly concerned about the game’s release date being too close to that of GTA VI.

Grubb notes that the delay doesn’t necessarily mean Fable will launch in 2027, but possibly in December 2026. All of this remains to be confirmed, of course.
