Everything You Need to Know from the June 25, 2026 Capcom Spotlight

Earlier this week, we learned about the broadcast of a Capcom Spotlight. A wealth of information was shared, covering both upcoming games and expansions, as well as a film currently in development. Here are the highlights from the broadcast.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

Capcom unveiled Additional Side Story: Rudy, a narrative expansion for Monster Hunter Stories 3 available now. Focusing on the character Rudy and his legacy as a Royal Palico, it’s included in the Deluxe and Premium editions. The studio also confirmed that development of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is ongoing, with a release planned for 2027.

Resident Evil Veronica

A new trailer for Resident Evil Veronica, announced during Summer Game Fest. Few details have been revealed, but it is still scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy amiibo for Resident Evil Requiem will be released on June 30.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

A new update will be deployed in August, with performance improvements across the board, more save slots, and the number of weapon skills will jump from 4 to 6. The Dark Arisen expansion will enhance Dragon’s Dogma 2 with a new region, an all-new story, dungeons, customization options, and new progression systems. The expansion will be released on October 9, 2026, for $49.99, with a playable demo debuting at Gamescom.

Devil May Cry 5

Capcom announced the immediate release of Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition on Nintendo Switch 2. This version, priced at €29.99, promises a smooth experience at 60 frames per second.

Street Fighter 6

Following the announcement of four new fighters, Capcom highlighted Yasmine, an Indonesian fighter specializing in close combat who uses a karambit and Bayani Mode to enhance her attacks. Her gameplay will be showcased in detail on August 3, 2026.

Capcom Pro Tour 2026

The Capcom Pro Tour 2026 will make stops in France, with tournaments in Paris (September 12–13) and then in Nice (October 9–11). Participants will have the chance to qualify for the Capcom Cup in Japan, where a million dollars is up for grabs.

Street Fighter – The Movie

A new trailer for the Street Fighter movie has been released. Set for release on October 16, 2026, it will follow Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li in a global tournament that hides a dangerous conspiracy. The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai and features a particularly star-studded cast. Here’s a brief synopsis:

“In 1993, Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo), two once-inseparable Street Fighters, are thrust back into the arena when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the upcoming World Warrior Tournament: a brutal showdown where fists, fate, and fury collide. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other, all while confronting the demons of their past.”

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Finally, it’s time for the highlight of this broadcast. Capcom wrapped up its Spotlight with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first new installment in the series in twenty years. A new presentation highlighted the hero Miyamoto Musashi, a particularly fast boss named Dohatsu-ten, and battles against the Genma. The game will be released on September 25, 2026, with a demo already available and pre-order bonuses: the Sealed Curse sword skin and the Lion Dog good-luck charm.
