Everything Announced in the Xbox Developer_Direct – January 2026

Microsoft kicked 2026 off with a new Xbox Developer Direct showcase, which featured some of the biggest games it has coming out this year. In a more in-depth look at the long-awaiting reboot of the Fable franchise, we got to glimpse Playground’s take on a fully open world Albion, the characters we’ll interact within the world, and finally got confirmation of chatacter customization. Kiln is a brand new game from Psychonauts developer Double Fine. Touted as a “pottery-based brawler”, Kiln lets you create and sculpt your character, then use that scultpure in multiplayer matches. Forza Horizon 6 is shaping up to be the most ambitious game in the more arcade-y form of the Forza franchise. This time taking us to Tokyo, Forza Horizon 6 will let players build custom garages where you can invite friends over to hangout and show off your sick lineup. Lastly there’s Beast of Reincarnation. Game Freak, the developers of Pokemon, branch out and showcase what they’re really made of with this unqie action RPG. Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan, players with assume the role of Emma in her quest to save humanity from exitinction.
