An upcoming puzzle game from one of the biggest directors in gaming is officially getting a PS5 version. The news came as a surprise, but will see the game release outside of one platform.
Jonathan Blow’s latest puzzle game is officially coming to the PS5
Order of the Sinking Star, an upcoming puzzle game from Thekla, Inc. and director Jonathan Blow (Braid, The Witness), will now be coming to the PS5. The game was originally announced at The Game Awards last year, but has been in development for over 10 years to date. At the time of its announcement, the game was only set to be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
However, in a recent PlayStation Blog post, Sony revealed Order of the Sinking Star would be arriving later this year on PlayStation consoles as well. The new narrative adventure from Blow features more than 1,000 hand-crafted puzzles designed to test players’ intellect and wit. The story transports players into a realm of magic, monsters, and more.
In it, players will have to explore four different worlds, each with their own mechanics, characters, and stories, and then watch as they all collide. “As the worlds merge, and characters meet one another, puzzle systems intertwine, creating surprising new possibilities. Explore at your own pace, revisit worlds and return to challenges as you see fit. Discover unique playable characters, master evolving gameplay mechanics, and decipher the deep mysteries of a sprawling, interconnected game world,” reads the game’s official description.
