Embracer parts ways with Cryptic Studios (Neverwinter) and Arc Games (Remnant)

Once again, the Swedish company has decided to sell two of its studios. After making plenty of acquisitions, Embracer Group has had to close and sell plenty of them in order to stabilize its finances.

The company has sold Cryptic Studios, the developer behind Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, and City of Heroes. Arc Games, the publisher behind the Remnant, Torchlight, and Fellowship franchises, is included in this transaction, estimated at $30 million and financed by XD Inc.

Following this announcement, the publishing rights for the Remnant games will transfer from Arc Games to THQ Nordic. Meanwhile, the very recent Fellowship will be published by Coffee Stain.
