In today’s Daily Fix:Elon Musk has set an ambitious goal for his xAI Studio to make a “great” AI-generated game by the end of next year. xAI is the Musk-owned company behind Grok, the chatbot built into X (formerly Twitter). AI-generated games are nothing new, but so far they’ve been limited in scope. Game industry experts, such as Epic’s Tim Sweeney, are bullish on the technology, claiming that eventually AI prompts can be used to make games in the scope of Nintendo’s Zelda games. Speaking of Nintendo, the company dropped an animated short film today, featuring a baby chasing after a pacifier. It doesn’t seem to be connected to any exisiting Nintendo IP, so it’s a bit of a mystery as to why it was even made. And finally, the Predator is returning to Call of Duty as part of Black Ops 6’s “The Haunting” seasonal event. This coincides with the release of the latest Predator, Predator: Badlands, which recently earned a PG-13 rating.

This sounds like an exciting venture from Elon Musk! The idea of an AI-generated game has a lot of potential, and it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Looking forward to more updates on this project!
Absolutely, it does sound exciting! The potential for AI to create unique gaming experiences could really change how stories are told in games. I’m curious to see how they will balance creativity with player engagement.
