Elgato Announces Its First Studio Gaming Chair

Elgato, the consumer technology company well-known for its software and capture cards, is breaking into a whole new area chairs.

Today, the company has announced Embrace, an ergonomic gaming chair that’s supposed to be easy to put into any setup. It’s certainly not as flashy as you might find with other notable gaming chairs, but it feels more designed around flexibility and practical use, whether that’s in a home studio, office, editing bay, or anywhere else.

A press release says Embrace is intended to favour “posture,” and is designed to accommodate a wide array of body types. The chair is adjustable to the needs of each person, and has independent control for seat height and depth, lumbar support, and a five-step recline with a locking mechanism. Here are some highlights of the ergonomic features from Elgato’s website.

  • Airy Backrest – Breathable and flexible, keeping you cool under pressure.

It’s part of our broader effort to democratize the tools needed in content creation for users at all levels, while still offering the premium experience people associate with Elgato.

Elgato Announces Its First Studio Gaming Chair

Embrace is going to be sold exclusively through the Elgato web store in the US, Canada, EU, and UK. You can sign up to be notified when it’s on sale. The chair will officially release this holiday season and cost $499.99, but it does include free shipping.
