Elden Ring: Sacred Arsenal Will Revolutionise Your Next Playthrough

Elden Ring is a sprawling and diverse RPG that isn’t afraid to take some pretty bonkers steps to set up its set-piece fights against one of the many bosses you’ll encounter during your journey across The Lands Between.

One of the standout features of those boss fights is the immense weapons they use to wreak havoc on the battlefield, while you desperately try and spam the dodge button to avoid the worst of it.

Margit, The Fell Omen is one of the more memorable examples of that, wielding a golden sigil that he is able to use to summon different weapon forms, all of which are devastating if you get hit by them.

But why should he get to have all the fun? Well, if you’re playing the game on PC, you are now able to get in on the giant weapon action for yourself, with an associated moveset that should have you feeling like a boss in no time.

FromSoftware

As first reported by PC Gamer, storied Elden Ring modder cleverraptor6, or Clever as he’s often known, dropped The Sacred Arsenal, a project that allows you to use Margit’s summoned weapons in a highly unique way.

As with Margit, you’ll only summon the weapons during single attacks, with the type of weapon summoned dependent on the type of attack and how you were moving in the lead-up.

Specifically, this translates to the following:

  • Light, jump, and rolling attacks summon dual straight swords, followed by a light chain ending in a great hammer.
  • Heavy attacks summon the great hammer.
  • Light attacks while sprinting summons a sword and shield.
  • Heavy attacks while running, jumping or backstepping, summons a great spear.
  • Dodging out of a charged heavy attack lets you throw daggers.

The mod is available to download as part of Clever’s Moveset Modpack. That serves as a huge collection of projects from the modder that includes the Great Shinobi Blade, Nonosama Bo, Meteor Fists, Bloodstarved Spear, Tachikaze, Dark Moon Ring, Heaven Splitter, God’s Bane, Hinokami, Morgott’s Holy Armaments, Deathwalker and Thunderclap, as well as various elemental bending mods a la Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The mod can also be downloaded individually, but a word of warning that it seems to be out of date at the time of writing. Installation is simply a case of unzipping the mod pack into the appropriate folder in the directory where you have Elden Ring installed.
