Before Elden Ring Nightreign was released, rare was the video game fan who heard the concept “Dark Souls meets Fortnite” and thought it might actually work. Nearly a year later, we now know that it’s more than just an acceptable conceit: Nightreign and its Forsaken Hollows DLC kick ass. I want to have hope, then, about Group SNE’s announcement on Jan. 26 that it is adapting FromSoftware’s unusual action game into a tabletop RPG.
