A new batch of free games has just hit Steam, and many of them are rated quite highly.
If you’re on a tight budget, it can be a good idea to have a nosey through Steam to see if you can find anything worth your while.
There are plenty of free games available from this selection too, which means you’re only really spending time when it comes to playing these. Let’s dive into this new selection, shall we?

These are the eight games you can now grab for free on Steam this week.
Forbidden Terror: Board Game (94% positive ratings) is up first, the first part in a psychological horror anthology series where you play as a teenager who decides to play a haunted board game.
Then there is Raise the Colours (91% positive ratings), a satirical 4-player co-op physics game where you race to plant flags before the timer runs out, with a comical British vibe to it.
Third up is Ye Guild Clerk! (99% positive ratings), a short 2.5D, interactive narrative game, where you play as a newly hired guild clerk in a world full of cute animal adventurers.
And fourth on the list is RuJuWi (not enough reviews for an average). It stands for Run Jump Win, and it’s a platform game where you create your own levels, play them as the little slime Puya and share them with others via the Workshop.
The last four are:
- Loser Named Hana (93% positive ratings), a friendship-building visual novel where you befriend a lonely college student.
- If you’re a man, hold on for half a song (not enough reviews for an average), an action shooter where you play as a small square, dodging and defeating enemies within half a song’s time.
- Death in a Party – ACT I (not enough reviews for an average), a text-heavy adventure game featuring over 200 hand-drawn backgrounds and 3D environments to explore.
- Physics World: Evolution (not enough reviews for an average), a 3D adventure puzzler where you manipulate physics.
If you’d like to check out any of these games, be sure to head over to their respective Steam store pages (which we’ve linked above) and install them from there.
Obviously, you’ll need a compatible PC in order to play them as well.
You can check the recommended and minimum spec requirements on each store page, which will give you a rough idea of what kind of hardware you need in order to run the games.
