EA Sports FC 26 PC Features, Required Specs Revealed

While consoles have always been a major priority for EA Sports and its line-up of sports games, with the upcoming EA Sports FC 26, the company is also planning on bringing some enhancements to the PC release as well. In a new post, the company has revealed some details about the PC version of EA Sports FC 26, and what kinds of improvements players can expect from it. These improvements include expanded display settings, graphics settings usability, and enhancements to controller support. Along with this, the company has also confirmed the required PC specs for running the upcoming football game.

When it comes to playing EA Sports FC 26 on PC with a controller, there is now expanded support for DualShock 4 and the DualSense. The DualShock 4 will support vibration when playing through a USB connection, while the DualSense will allow for the use of more of its features, including haptics and adaptive triggers. EA Sports does note that these features will only be usable if the DualSense is connected to the PC via USB.

The display settings have also gotten a tune-up in EA Sports FC 26, allowing players to pick between which monitor they want gameplay to be displayed on if multiple monitors are connected. There are also deeper settings for other display-related things, including more options for frame rate limits – 120, 144, 165 and 240 frames per second – as well as more Vsync options, render scale, and an FPS target if Dynamic Resolution is being used. The video settings in general are getting more informative, with each setting now featuring precise descriptions of function and how CPU, GPU and VRAM usage will be affected. For players that don’t want the hassle, there are also presets for graphics quality from Low all the way to Ultra.

If you’re wondering what kind of PC you will need to run EA Sports FC 26, the developers have confirmed both the minimum and recommended hardware for the title. The minimum requirements – assuming a resolution of 1280 x 720, frame rate of 60 FPS, and using the Low graphics preset – are either an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, and either an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD RX 570 GPU with 4 GB of VRAM.

If you want to bump the graphics up, assuming a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a frame rate of 60 FPS at the Medium graphics preset, you’re going to need either an Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and either an Nvidia GTX 1660 or an AMD RX 5600 XT GPU with 6 GB of RAM. The required storage remains the same between the two set of specs, coming in at 100 GB.

EA has also revealed more details about its implementation of the Javelin Anticheat solution for EA Sports FC 26. In the post, the company has confirmed that the anticheat system will feature more refined methods of detecting cheats and hacks, as well as stronger anti-tamper settings. Javelin is also described as running at the kernel level, since many cheats and hacks these days tend to be difficult to detect without doing so. To assure players who might find this to be a software security risk, however, EA has stated that the anticheat only runs when EA Sports FC 26 is running, and uninstalling the game also removes Javelin.

EA Sports FC 26 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2 on September 26. For more details, check out the recent trailer showcasing the new FUT Icons in the game.
