EA confirms its $55 billion takeover by a group of investors

Electronic Arts has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by a group of investors led by the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund PIF, alongside Silver Lake and Affinity Partners.

The all-cash transaction values the publisher at approximately $55 billion and provides for the purchase of 100% of the shares.
