EA Claims Battlefield 6 Performance Mode Can Hit 120 FPS on Consoles

A new marketing email from publisher EA claims that the upcoming Battlefield 6 will be capable of hitting as high as 120 FPS while in Performance Mode on consoles. Although it’s not unheard of for a first-person shooter to achieve such a high frame rate while in Performance Mode, as 2020’s Black Ops Cold War proved, Battlefield 6is a true current-gen experience filled with large-scale battles, all-out destruction, and some gorgeous visuals to top it all off.

120 FPS would definitely enhance the gameplay experience, especially during intense moments. It’ll be interesting to see how well they optimize the game for different consoles, as that can significantly impact performance. I’m curious if there will be any graphical trade-offs to maintain that frame rate.
