Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027. Switch 2 is quite notably missing, though.
It’s been a decade since Xenoverse 2 launched way back in 2016, but it’s been even longer in the Dragon Ball universe, as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will jump ahead to Age 1000 – A Whole New World.
This is a brand new future for the game, filled with unique and original characters from Akira Toriyama. Age 1000 will see players head to West City, exploring the bustling metropolis and running into new troubles to defeat as part of the Great Saiyan Squad.
Dipping back to Xenoverse 2, we said in our review, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 does a decent job of capturing the spirit of the anime series, even if its component parts don’t quite gel all of the time. There’s a huge amount of content available to players, and you can spend hours battling and levelling up in the attractive world of the Super Saiyans, even if repetition does eventually begin to set in. Fans will be well served by the alternative take on scenes they know and love, though players of the original Xenoverse may well have a strong sense of déjà vu about the whole venture.”
