Super Saiyan 3 was the most powerful Saiyan transformation by the end of Dragon Ball Z. For years, SSJ3 was also the most powerful Saiyn form period in the canon timeline. It wouldn’t be until Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods introduced Super Saiyan God that Super Saiyan 3 would be officially dethroned. Even at the height of its power, however, Super Saiyan 3 had massive drawbacks.
