Klei Entertainment has revealed Don’t Starve Elsewhere, an all-new sequel that promises to ramp up the “uncompromising survival experience” and really put multiplayer and co-op front and centre.
After over a decade of familiarity with the original, not to mention its expanded co-op Don’t Starve Together release, Don’t Starve Elsewhere looks to put down fresh foundations. There’s the same hand drawn art style throughout, but there’s less of the paper cutout vibe and the world is now built in 3D – I think this is new? It’s been a long, long time.
Get your friends together, craft a home base, then head out to gather resources. You can venture to snowy mountains, cross rivers and seas, and delve into the new cave systems. Each biome has its own dangers, as well as its own resources to draw you there, and its own particular weather patterns and climates. And always there’s the Fog, which moves across the landscape and can hide its own alluring secrets, if you wish to risk its madness.
Don’t Starve Elsewhere is announced for PC and is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
