Square Enix has announced Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a new entry in its Dissidia game series. Currently in development for iOS and Android devices, the game takes place in modern-day Tokyo and is a 3v3 “team boss battle arena,” Square Enix says.
Once again, several Final Fantasy heroes like Cloud Strife, Lightning, and the Warrior of Light will take on the forces of Chaos–while dressed in contemporary fashion–and Square Enix is aiming to release the game in 2026.
Anyone interested in trying out the game can also sign up to join a closed beta test for Android, provided that they reside in the United States and Canada. You’ll have until October 28 to enter.
