Originally scheduled for release on October 3, the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 was ultimately postponed to an unknown date. Now, it seems unlikely that it will ever be released…
In its latest financial report, Take-Two Interactive announced that it had removed the game from its release schedule.
“We made the difficult decision to pause development on that SKU. Our focus continues to be delivering quality post-launch content for players on the ongoing improvements to optimize the game.
We’re continuing to collaborate closely with our friends at Nintendo. We have ‘PGA Tour 2K25’ coming out and ‘WWE 2K26’ [for Switch 2], and we’re incredibly excited about bringing more of our titles to that platform in the future.”
It remains to be seen whether this is temporary or permanent.

It’s always disappointing to hear about delays, especially for something as exciting as Borderlands 4. Hopefully, the team can get back on track soon and deliver a great experience for fans. Looking forward to more updates!
