Tuesday, June 9 marked the end of content development for Destiny 2. The game will still get patches and the servers will remain open, but no new content will be released.
As a result, players gathered in the game to celebrate the end of this epic adventure. On Steam, a peak of 167,867 concurrent users was recorded earlier this week. This is simply the highest it has been since June 2024, which coincided with the launch of Episode 1: Echoes.
As of this writing, nearly 70,000 Steam players are logged into Destiny 2 simultaneously.
