Dan Houser considers Red Dead Redemption 2 to be his best work

Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser said in an interview with IGN that Red Dead Redemption 2 remains, in his opinion, the best project of his career.

Lead writer on almost all of the Grand Theft Auto games, as well as Bully, Max Payne 3, and Red Dead Redemption, Houser explains that RDR2 represents his finest achievement in open-world storytelling.

He also cited Grand Theft Auto IV for its narrative approach, the middle of Grand Theft Auto V for the chemistry between the three protagonists, and the ending of Red Dead Redemption 1 as memorable moments.

Since leaving Rockstar in 2020, Houser has been running Absurd Ventures, which is developing several transmedia projects.
