The latest free update for Cyberpunk 2077 has begun to roll out, and it’s most likely available to download for you right now.
We all know the state that CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 launched in, especially on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A launch so bad that for roughly six months, Sony had pulled it from sale on its PS Store.
It may have taken Cyberpunk 2077 months to get to somewhat of an acceptable state, but years later, it’s fair to say that, this is the game that CDPR had promised all those years ago. That being said, you still might want to avoid the game on last-gen consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077 has benefited from a plethora of content updates that not only improve the game’s visuals and performance, but also add new quests, features and much more.
Arguably, the most important turning point for Cyberpunk 2077 came around the time of its highly anticipated expansion, Phantom Liberty, in September 2023.

The game’s latest update, ‘Patch 2.31’, has begun rolling out today on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Some of the main highlights of the update are for the AutoDrive feature. “When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights,” reads the patch notes.
“The graphics on this game are amazing! Hats off to the devs,” said dontbesheep2112, replying to the tweet from the official account.

“They finally did it. They added an option to disable the vignette,” exclaimed 2paclypsenow. “As a guy who played 1,000 hours of Cyberpunk 2077, I absolutely recommend everyone to disable vignettes; the game will look much clearer and brighter.”
While not the biggest update for Cyberpunk 2077, it’s still a step in the right direction for a game at this point, CDPR has overdelivered with it, and we love to see it.
Hopefully, there’ll be plenty of content to keep us busy now and in the future, while we not only wait for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel but also the next entry in the fantasy RPG series, The Witcher 4.
