Cyberpunk 2077 New DLC Officially Landing This Month, Mark Your Calendars

Cyberpunk 2077 is officially getting new DLC later this month, but it might not be what you expect.

Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED is no doubt one of the best sci-fi RPGs in recent years, which is very impressive, considering the state that the game launched in. Especially on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

While it’s still advised to stay clear of Cyberpunk 2077 on last-gen consoles, following a wealth of content updates, as well as its Phantom Liberty expansion, the CDPR RPG rose like a proverbial phoenix from the ashes.

Before Cyberpunk 2077 launched in 2020, it was set to have more than one expansion, not just the critically acclaimed Phantom Liberty, which was eventually released in 2023.

The other expansion was going to be multiplayer-focused, but that was scrapped so that CDPR could fix its game, a controversial decision that worked out for the best.

It’s very unlikely that we’ll see official multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077 at this point, but I’m sure there will be some fans hoping it’s implemented in the sequel. Whether that happens or not, only time will tell.

Well, you might be pleased to know that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting official multiplayer DLC, it’s just not in Cyberpunk 2077. The DLC in question is coming to the free-to-play first-person shooter, Arena Breakout: Infinite, for its tenth season.

“Arena Breakout: Infinite is a high-stakes tactical extraction shooter where every decision matters,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Fight, loot, and extract—or lose it all. With stunningly realistic visuals, lifelike sound, and unforgiving PvPvE combat, every raid is a gamble between glory and ruin.”

The Cyberpunk 2077 and Arena Breakout: Infinite collaboration will happen on 16 October 2025 and will not only bring new events, but also cosmetic skins. Other details are vague at this time, but more information is promised as we edge closer to its launch date.

“This collab is pure fire,” said Kadath Studio, replying to the tweet from the official Arena Breakout: Infinite Twitter account.

“Johnny Silverhand outfit?” asked Oklumberman.

“Please come to consoles, because I’ve been wanting to play Arena Breakout: Infinite so bad,” pleaded darth71185. Hopefully, that wish will be granted sooner rather than later.

Some other comments on the thread state that having this Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration ruins the realistic aspect that Arena Breakout: Infinite attempts to deliver. Which is probably a fair point.

Developed by Tencent Games Cube Studio and published by Level Infinite, Arena Breakout: Infinite is available on PC, as well as compatible mobile devices.
