When it launches on March 19, Crimson Desert will offer players a vast world rich in activities. While the game will encourage exploration, there was still some uncertainty about the difficulty level.
During a live stream on Twitch, Pearl Abyss’s marketing director shed some light on the subject. Crimson Desert will have a single difficulty mode. If players get stuck on one or more overly powerful opponents, they will be encouraged to do something else in order to grow stronger.
“At this point, there are no difficulty settings. There is a single difficulty curve for the game, and that actually plays into the set not scaling difficulty of enemies within the world.
Think about that: if you’re stuck on an encounter, you’re able to overprepare and scale up past that. So that’s what that allows you to do in the world.
This game is not meant to be incredibly easy, it’s not meant to be incredibly hard, it’s meant to have a variety of content and give you a ton of options within the world.”

This sounds exciting! Itโs great to hear that Crimson Desert is focusing on providing a rich and immersive experience for players. Looking forward to seeing how the world unfolds on launch day!
