Crimson Desert players can now claim a free DLC lasting more than four hours.
Crimson Desert has been one of the biggest games of the year so far, and that’s partly down to the massive amount of content available for players to check out.
In the weeks following release, Pearl Abyss has been working hard releasing new patches and updates to improve the overall experience.
And now, it’s just released a free soundtrack DLC that all players can redeem and keep in their libraries forever.
Crimson Desert Original Soundtrack Volume 1 is now available for all players to claim for free and add to their Steam accounts.
“Crimson Desertβs first official soundtrack is the record of a long creative journey to give Pywelβs open world its own voice,” reads the official description for the soundtrack DLC. “Comprising 75 tracks, the album is built on a foundation laid by directors Hwiman Ryu and Inro Joo, and enriched by the creative flair of many composers.”

The album is split across four discs, with each one having a different theme. Altogether, it’s around four-and-a-half hours of music for your listening pleasure.
Disc 1 involves themes, with “the narrative threads that weave together the fate of Pywel” taking the centre stage of the disc.
Meanwhile, Disc 2 features much of the battle music that occurs during Crimson Desert’s huge action sequences.
Disc 3 is themed around exploration, with “a collection of ambient sounds and background music that fills the vast world” and “captures the scenery of Pywel and the Abyss, ranging from tranquil to mystical.”
Finally, Disc 4 is all about boss fight music, featuring “traditional orchestrations” that “capture the menacing presence of giant foes, while hybrid sounds sharpen the duels with humanoid foes.”
If you want to pick up the soundtrack, you can do that now by heading to the Steam DLC page and adding it to your account. Even if you don’t own the game on Steam, you can still add it to your account to listen to at any point.
