
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been hugely successful since its release, this year’s Game Awards have put it even more in the spotlight.
While this is also true for the four other games nominated in the GOTY category, Sandfall’s title still stands out with its exceptional scores.
Last October, Sandfall Interactive’s production had sold a total of 5 million copies. According to Alinea Analytics, the game has continued to sell nearly 400,000 additional copies since its record-breaking nomination at The Game Awards in mid-November. Including new players via GamePass, half a million new people have started playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 since the nominations.
Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, estimates that more than 200,000 copies have been sold since the Game Awards, i.e. in four days, as shown in the image below.
