Capcom is currently going through one of the best periods in its history. The Japanese publisher has been racking up successes, whether it’s original titles, new franchises, or high-quality remakes. It is precisely this last category that we’ll be focusing on.
According to information from a new insider, two major remakes are in the works in addition to those of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Thus, Devil May Cry 1 and Resident Evil 1 (which had already been modernized on the GameCube in 2002) could be getting a remake.
As for the second remake of the first Resident Evil, pre-production reportedly began in 2022–2023. It is now said to be in full production. Still on the subject of Resident Evil, the tenth installment of the main series is also reportedly in development. It could feature Claire Redfield.
Finally, returning briefly to Resident Evil Requiem, the narrative DLC could center on the character of Ada Wong. Of course, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt.

It’s exciting to hear about the potential remakes of Resident Evil 1 and Devil May Cry 1! Capcom has been doing a fantastic job lately, and it’s great to see them revisiting their classic titles. Looking forward to what they have in store!
