Call Of Duty Movie Gets A 2028 Release Date, But We Still Don’t Know Much

The live-action Call of Duty movie officially has a release date: It arrives in theaters on June 30, 2028, Paramount announced at CinemaCon today.

No further details on the movie have been shared as of yet, but the project has been in the works for some time. As previously announced, Taylor Sheridan (best known for Yellowstone) is writing the movie’s script, while Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Battleship, Deepwater Horizon) will direct and co-write. The two will also serve as producers alongside Yellowstone’s David Glasser and Activision president Rob Kostich.

The movie is being produced by Paramount in conjunction with Activision. The two describe the movie as “a live-action feature film based on Call of Duty, designed to thrill its massive global fan base by delivering on the hallmarks of what fans love about the iconic series, while boldly expanding the franchise to entirely new audiences.”
