Borderlands 4 has sold over 2 million copies already

Although there was some controversy recently following a few comments made by the CEO of Gearbox Software, Borderlands 4 seems to be heading for huge commercial success.

In a recent article, Alinea Analytics estimates that the game has sold more than 2 million units worldwide in less than a week. Steam sales are reported to have reached more than 1 million copies to date (including 750,000 last week). Borderlands 4 has generated approximately $150 million in revenue since its release on September 11, 2025.

All in all, the Borderlands franchise has sold 96 million games since its debut in 2009.
