Bloodborne Meets BioShock in Huge New Sequel

Bloodborne Meets BioShock in Huge New Sequel

If you are one of the millions of people waiting for Bloodborne 2 or BioShock 4, then fear not as the next best thing is on the way.

It has been over a decade since both Bloodborne and BioShock Infinite were released and although BioShock 4 is still seemingly in development despite multiple delays, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is not so lucky with not even a remaster or PC port announced as of yet.

However, there is no denying that both of these games are loved by many and so any title which encapsulates the feelings we experienced whilst playing them is bound to be a hit.

Well, hopefully that is the case for The Sinking City 2.

With its predecessor, The Sinking City, released back in 2019, fans have not had to wait that long for a sequel as The Sinking City 2 was revealed back in March 2024.

Developed by Frogwares and inspired by the works of horror fiction author H.P. Lovecraft, The Sinking City 2 is an upcoming heart-pounding survival horror game with that terrifying Lovecraftian twist.

Taking place in the flooded city of Arkham, players must fight eldritch horrors beyond human comprehension as they explore a version of the U.S during the 1920s.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, The Sinking City 2 will see players have to navigate the sprawling labyrinth of flooded alleyways and decrepit mansions as eldritch horrors lurk at every turn.

These monsters are like nothing you could imagine thanks to their cosmic horror inspirations and twisted designs but if you are a fan of the macabre, then you will love this highly anticipated sequel.

In Sinking City 2, you will be able to use a wide arsenal of weapons to protect you as you battle monsters straight from Cthulhu Mythos: Deep Ones, Mi-gos, occult zealots and much more.

In this third-person survival horror, you will experience all of the classic horror features found in titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

This includes inventory management, optional puzzles and even backtracking if you wish to collect previously unattainable items.

However, making the most of your environment will reward you greatly as you uncover scattered clues in order to access optional areas and even uncover gameplay bonuses.

“Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, The Sinking City 2 delivers next-gen visuals with Lumen global illumination, photorealistic Nanite geometry, life-like Metahuman-powered characters, and much more,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

The Sinking City 2 is yet to receive a release date but it is now available to wishlist on Steam alongside a terrifying cinematic trailer.
